Brethren:

We had another great month in August. We raised four Master Masons at the One Day Conferral on August 16.

Our September Stated is Senior Warden's Night, come out and support Brother Ray Lindquist. See his message below! We will also be presenting an Eagle Scout Award.

We have our picnic planned for Saturday, September 13 from 1 PM to 4 PM at Shelter #2 at Deep Rock Park. Come out and bring the family! Everyone is invited. We will be having hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, potato salad and cold drinks. Kids can bring a fishing pole and fish in the pond.

We have another Blood Drive scheduled for Saturday, October 4 from 9 am to 12 noon at the Lodge. Please come and give blood,"the gift of life". As you know, it is always urgently needed by our local healthcare providers. Our Senior Steward, Brother Larry Marchant will again be preparing breakfast.

Last but not least we have another Ladies Nite planned for Saturday, October 18 at 7PM. We will be going to the Masonic Home for a nice candlelight dinner, served by the chef at the home. Cost is $25.00 per person and the Lodge will cover the cost for the ladies. We will need reservations so we can have a count on those who plan to go. Call me at 266-9294 to make your reservation.

As always if you need a ride to any of these events let me or another officer know, we will be glad to pick you up.

Brethren:

Labor Day will have come and gone by our September Stated and many of us have returned to work after our vacations. The Lodge has not been idle during summer; we have initiated 6 candidates, passed 2 and raised 1, other than the four at the One Day Conferral. Westhampton has thus far isitiated 20 candidates and raised 5. We will be raising another candidate later in September; it will be a very special event and we look forward to your attendance and support!

Our speaker in September will be Brother Larry Marchant, our Senior Steward. Brother Larry is an accomplished speaker and we look forward to hearing his thoughts on the very important role of the Lodge Stewards!
